F.A.C.C.T. says employee Kislitsyn detained in Kazakhstan Jun 22

MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Kazakhstan detained Nikita Kislitsyn, an employee of Russian cybersecurity company F.A.C.C.T. on June 22 in connection with his previous job, the company said on Wednesday in a statement.

“At the company, Nikita is in charge of development of the network security business. According to our information, the action against Kislitsyn has nothing to do with his work at F.A.C.C.T., but connected to a case dating back more than 10 years, when Nikita worked as a journalist and an independent researcher,” the company said.

F.A.C.C.T. said it is sure that there are no legal grounds to detain Kislitsyn on the territory of Kazakhstan. He was detained to study the grounds to extradite him on a U.S. request.

Moscow’s Tverskoi District Court arrested Kislitsyn in absentia for illegal access to computer information, a court spokesperson told PRIME.
